He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Schafer and Josephine Schafer; and his daughter Christi Schafer. He is survived by: his wife Sharon "Sam" Schafer; his children, Wendy Schafer, Dan Schafer, Guy Schafer (Donna) and Erik Schafer; his grandchildren, Brianna Pederson Jackie (Brian), Taylor Schafer, Cara Schafer and Rory Schafer; and his great grandchildren, Eathen Pederson and Colin Pederson. He is also survived by his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, his nieces and nephews.
