She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Eugene Glen Braithwaite and Genevieve Kopp Braithwaite; her grandson Robert Black; her husband Nate Black; her children, Thane Black, Chad Black (Georgette) and Dawn Black (Clark); her grandchildren, Chad Black, Tasha Black, Emma Black and Eugene Black; her stepgrandchildren, Dustin Stroud and Cordell Stroud; and her siblings, Gene Braithwaite, John Braithwaite, Tim Braithwaite and Anne Erickson. She was also cherished by seven great grandchildren.
