He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James Nathan Black, Sr. and Hattie Mae Hobbs Black; his family Nate; his wife Mary Adele Braithwaite Black; his grandson Robert Black; his brother Jack Black; his children, Thane Black, Chad Black (Georgette) and Dawn Black (Clark); his grandchildren, Chad Black, Tasha Black, Emma Black and Eugene Black; his stepgrandsons, Dustin Stroud and Cordell Stroud; and his siblings, LeRoy Black, Charles Black, Glen Black and Sissy. He was also cherished by seven great grandchildren.
