He was predeceased by: his brother Woodrow; and his daughter Anne Marie Kimberling Stone. He is survived by: his wife Della Marie of Monte Vista; his sons, Shane (Laura) and Eric (Jen); his grandchildren, Kelsey, Clay, Meghan and Eilidh; his son-in-law John Stone; and his stepgrandchildren, Ricky and Megan. He is also survived by in-laws, nieces, and nephews.

He was famously known for his weekly Friday donation of Gaga donuts.
