We are sad to announce that on September 10, 2022, at the age of 89, Una Louise Whitmer of Monte Vista, Colorado, born in Sugar City, Colorado passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Lynn E. Oxford and Doris E. Oxford (Hawkins); her husband Bobby L. Whitmer; her sons, Donald Whitmer and William Whitmer; and her brother-in-law Gene Woodke.

She is survived by: her children, Charles Whitmer (Shelley) of Del Norte, CO, James Whitmer (Lottie) of Monte Vista, CO, Janet Whitmer of Monte Vista, CO and Barbara Haley (Lawrence) of Monte Vista, CO; her daughter-in-law Denise Crawford; her grandchildren, Zach Whitmer, Samuel Whitmer (Taylor), Aimee Hamil-Judice (Bryan), Courtney Stevens, Jonathan Whitmer (Angel), Whitney Boose (Jason), Mandi Whitmer, Colleen Williams (Kenny), Max Whitmer (Kirsten), Brenna Whitmer, Griffin Whitmer, Michael Gallegos, Cassandra Haley and Jordan Haley (Cheyenne); her close friend Margaret VanBibber; and her siblings, Ruth Woodke of Troutdale, Oregon and Thomas Oxford (Nami) of Yakima, WA. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren, numerous extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests a contribution to Conour Animal Shelter in her name.
