She was predeceased by: her parents, Leopoldo Marquez and Luisa Marquez (Duran); her former husband Genaro Gallegos; her brother Ubaldo Marquez; her husband Seferino Monge; her granddaughter LaNay Gurule; her son-in-law Robert Madril; and her siblings, Jose Isabel Marquez and Elvera Valdez.

She is survived by: her daughters, Marietta Madril, Fidencia Gurule (Robert), Marilyn Duran (Albert), Janet Suazo (Donald) and Gloria Gallegos (Christine). She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, God-children and cousins.

Visitation was held on Thursday, December 26th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Romero Funeral Chapel (100 W 11th Ave, Antonito, CO 81120). A rosary was held on Thursday, December 26th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church (6633 Co Rd 13, Antonito, CO 81120). A Mass was held on Friday, December 27th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Church (6633 Co Rd 13, Antonito, CO 81120).
