She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Jack Thacker (June) and Helen Akins (Wendell); her father-in-law Arnold Story (Lula Mae); her niece Theresa Todd; her husband Kirk Story; her sons, Jared (Heidi) and Heath Story; her granddaughters, Lucy and Elisa Story; and her siblings, Bob Thacker (Sherry), Sue Todd and Connie.

A memorial service was held on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 at 5:00 PM at the Rogers Family Mortuary (404 Morris St, Monte Vista, CO 81144).
