He was predeceased by: his parents, James Jefferson and Dora Mary Chadd (Smally); his siblings, Kathy Benton, Irene Smith, Earl Chadd, Gene Chadd, Harold Chadd and Bill Chadd; his daughter-in-law Becky Eaton; and his brother-in-law Bill Grimes.
He is survived by: his wife Ernestine Chadd of Cortez, CO; his sons, Alvin Chadd of Craig, CO and Albert Chadd (Key) of Craig, CO; his stepchildren, Roxie Hawkins (Ted) of Cortez, CO, Cheryl Grubb (Warren) of Dove Creek, CO and James Eaton of Cortez, CO; his sister Shirley Grimes of Bloomfield, NM; and his brother-in-law David Coppinger. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.
