She was predeceased by: her parents, Amadeo Garcia and Martina Blea Garcia (Walter Aguilar); her son John Aguilar; her siblings, Orlando Garcia and Genevieve Garcia Archuleta; and her nephew Robert Archuleta.

“Whenever I stayed at Aunt Minnie’s home, she would introduce me to foods I never tried before. For example, she would make a cranberry dessert, herbal foods, herbal teas and the Vita-mix machine. She was an wonderful hostess and made my stay all the more enjoyable through her wit, knowledge & fascinating stories. I learned more about my own mother’s life through my Aunt Minnie then I ever did from my own mother. And for that I shall always be eternally grateful. Dr. William Aguilar”
