Arleigh Nelson Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Arleigh Nelson of Loveland, Colorado, who passed away on November 25, 2024, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Nelson and Verda Nelson (Glassburn); his wife Aurleen Fehringer of Patrick's Catholic Church; his sons-in-law, Ken Bernhardt and Dennis Bylina; and his great grandchildren, Matthew Aaron Smiley and Joseph Amen Reardon.

He is survived by: his pet Leo; his daughters, Charleen Warriner (Matt), Pam Nelson (Mike Aho) of Loveland and Jodi Hart (Ed) of Berthoud; his grandchildren, Nicole Smiley of Loveland, Shawna Reardon (Bill) of Yankton, SD, Dylan Sommerfeld (Amber) of Windsor, Ross Hart (Jenny) of Berthoud and Andi Hart of Fort Collins; his great grandchildren, Makayla Richard (Anthony), Abrianna Smiley of Ft. Collins, Codie Smiley of Loveland, William Reardon (Eleanor) of Sioux Falls, Courtney, Chloe, Sophia, Thomas, Johnathan Reardon of Yankton, Alyssa, Hailey, Logan Sommerfeld of Windsor, Parker Hart of Berthoud and Hudson Drennen of Fort Collins; his great great grandchildren, Easton Richard and Teddy Reardon; and his brother-in-law Ivan Fehringer (Donna). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

The inurnment was held on Sunday, December 1st 2024 at 1:30 PM at the Resthaven Memory Gardens. Visitation was held on Sunday, December 1st 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Viegut's Funeral Home (1616 N Lincoln Ave, Loveland, CO 80538). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, December 2nd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church (1730 W 12th St, Loveland, CO 80537).

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to NOCO Humane (Formerly Larimer Humane Socety) or Loveland Veterans Honor Monument.
