He was predeceased by: his parents, William P. Elrod and Elaine R. Elrod (Porta); his brothers, Gary Elrod and Billy Elrod; and his nephews, Jason Elrod and Greg Chandler.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Elrod; his sons, John and Chris (Jeannette); his grandson Blake (Andrea); his great grandchild Landen; his sister Dixie Lee Martella (Ron); and his siblings-in-law, Roger Waschak and Paula Elrod. He is also survived by his sons, family members and friends.
The family knows he was loved by many but need to limit attendance due to COVID-19.
