Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Richard Thomas Loper of Longmont, Colorado, who passed away at the age of 81, on March 31, 2025. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lyle Loper and Antonia "Tony" Ryn Loper; his wife Beverley; his siblings, Floyd Loper and Stella Xander (Loper); and his nephew James Loper.
He is survived by: his daughters, Jenney Loper of Longmont, CO and Andrea Loper of Albuquerque, NM; his granddaughter Vivienne Loper of Albuquerque, NM; and his siblings-in-law, Janie Loper-Pierce and Gary Xander. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 3:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the Ahlberg Funeral Chapel (326 Terry St, Longmont, CO 80501). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Longmont Nazarene Church (2111 Mountain View Ave, Longmont, CO 80501). A graveside service was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Foothills Gardens of Memory (14241 N 107th St, Longmont, CO 80504).
In honor of his lifelong concern for the treatment of animals, memorial contributions may be made to the Longmont Humane Society.
