It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Laverna E. Pickett of Longmont, Colorado, born in Columbus, Nebraska, who passed away on September 8, 2020, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter Bitter and Anna Bitter (Sommerfeld); her husband Wayne Pickett; and her siblings, Leona Stage and Erwin Bitter.
She is survived by: her sons, Gary (Lee) of Longmont and Jim of Fort Collins; her grandchildren, Michelle Gomez (Dean) and Michael Pickett of Longmont; her great grandchildren, Grayson and Kendrick Gomez; and her sister Mildred Hamby of Haubstadt, IN. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
