Howard Sprouse wrote a sympathy message

“Dearest Dad, It is with great sadness that I write this memoriam. I have many fond memories of Dad and I mostly fishing, and reconnecting about life and quality times of reflection. But I also recall the stories of the "ones that got away" or "how we were skunked", and how the boat lost the engine, etc. I also recall the countless games of billiards, and bowling. You will be so deeply missed by the both of us. Love Jr and Carole”
