He was predeceased by: his parents, John Counas and Edith Counas; his siblings, Constance Counas, Elaine Haakenson and Theodore Counas; and his nephew Michael Counas.
He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Clark; his children, Steve (Theresa Meija) and Cindy; his granddaughter Charissa (Ted Smith); and his great grandchildren, Olivia, Ella and Kai Mai.
