With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Elinor Mae Ward (Longmont, Colorado), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 29, 2024 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Schnepf and Esther Schnepf (Oldenberg); and her brothers, James Schnepf, Donald Schnepf and Gene Schnepf.
She is survived by: her husband Charles Ward; her brother Gerry Schnepf of Des Moines; her children, Terri Ward (Linda) of Berthoud, Pam Petry (John) of Raleigh, NC and Steve Ward (Kelley) of Boulder; her grandchildren, Lauren Lewis (Dan), Kevin Holmes (Mandy), Hilary Whitman (Brian), Megan Hensen (Scott), Phillip Ward and Mitchell Ward; and her great grandchildren, Elinor Lewis, Theodore Lewis, Hayes Ward Lewis, Charlie Whitman, Chloe Whitman, Kinley Hensen and Harper Hensen.
The family requests that donations be made in honor of Elinor to Alzheimer's Association, act.alz.org, to support and accelerate research.
