Earl McKinley West Obituary

Earl Mckinley (Mac) West was born July 25, 1929 in Manning, Iowa and passed away in Longmont, Colorado on October 28, 2024. Earl was preceded in death by his wife of 80 years, Renda Louise West, in 2023 and his daughter Susan Louise West in 2006; his father and mother, Floyd N and Mattie West (Williams); his stepfather Alton Williams; his sister Eula Mae Byerley; bother Ernest West; and half-sister Donna Faye Lofton. Earl served our country in the US Navy from 1947 – 1951. He married Renda Louise Rader on August 18, 1952.

He worked for Boeing Aircraft in Wichita, Kansas from 1952 – 1956, Martin Marietta from 1956 - 1964 and the University of Colorado from 1964 until he retired.

Earl (Mac) and Louise traveled and square danced with their many friends during retirement.

He is survived by his daughter Judy West of Longmont, Colorado as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.

Earl will be buried next to his wife, Louise, at Mountain View Cemetery in Longmont.
