He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Mary Kay; his children, Laurie Dornberger (Elmar), Susan Gillis (Bruce), Steve Carlson (Tracy), Mike Carlson (Jenny) and Amy Zender (Dirk); his granddaughter Molly Ida (Colin); his children, Matt Carlson, Emily Carlson, Fiona Dornberger, Morgan, Joe Carlson, Tanner, Cody, Chloe Gillis, Mia and Olivia Zender; his great grandchildren, Arlo and Rosie Clare Ida; his sister Marlene Sullivan of Wheat Ridge; and his father Poppie. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
