He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Gertrude Shomers and Frank Shomers; his siblings, Tim Shomers, Gary Shomers, Marilyn Thurman (Shomers) and Francis Shubert (Shomers); his wife Jane Shomers (Putnam); and his children, Susan Miller (Kevin) of Loveland, Sherri Shackelford (Mike) of Kingman, Arizona, Dan Shomers (Stacy) of Littleton, Colorado, Mike Shomers (Cheri) of Loveland and Jennifer McCrory of Loveland. He was also cherished by his sixteen grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, they request donations be made to the Colorado Youth Outdoors to provide young people with an opportunity for outdoor education.
