She was predeceased by: her parents, Elwin C. Krause and A. Margaret Krause. She is survived by: her children, Jean Elizabeth Alexander Gifford and Andrew Tyler Alexander; her grandchildren, Elizabeth, Gwen and Isaac; and her great grandchildren, Cordelia and Bronwen.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to the Denver Botanic Gardens.
