He was predeceased by: his parents, David Stertz and Esther Schumann Stertz. He is survived by: his spouse Shirley Ann Mathews; his sons, David, Daniel (Stacy) and Derek (Shari); his grandchildren, Ashley, Zachary, Leopold and Fiona; and his sister Ellen. He is also survived by two brothers-in-law, a sister-in-law, many cousins, and nephews and nieces.
