He was predeceased by: his parents, Anton Berns and Elizabeth Berns (Wolter); his wife Eleanor (Denver); his siblings, Leon, Anthony "Tony", Gertrude, Lucille, Catherine "Kay", Rosemary and Rita; and his granddaughter Kacie.
He is survived by: his children, Donna (Tim), Dave (Kristen) and Rick (Nita); his grandchildren, Jaime (Nate), Shayne (Taylor), Derek (Alyssa), Jeff (Garrette), Nadine (Caleb) and Ian (Vyanka); and his great grandchildren, Kaelie, Charli, Hudson, Shelby, Griffin, Caleb, Hadley, Gunnar, Joanna and Wesley.
