He was predeceased by: his parents, Leopoldo C. Garcia and Beatrice Avilucea; and his son Eric Dean Garcia. He is survived by: his wife Louise Garcia; his children, Leopoldo Garcia (Jaime) of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Jennifer Sheil-Brown (Scott) of Denver, Colorado; his grandchildren, Jeremy Garcia, Nathaniel Garcia, James Sheil-Brown, Thomas Sheil-Brown and Isabelle Sheil-Brown (Princess); and his siblings, Antonia Benavidez (Mundo), Yolanda Garcia-Rascon (Miguel), Marylou Rael, Thomas Garcia and Lisa Huffman (Richard). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, as a Living Tribute, a grove of trees will be planted at a selected national forest in the memory of Leopoldo Garcia.
