It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard L. Tafoya of Las Animas, Colorado, who passed away on August 8, 2022, at the age of 43, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Carly Jo Tafoya (McBride); his son Christian James Tafoya; and his nephew Nevean Dante Tafoya. He is survived by: his parents, Ernest "Pete" Tafoya (Michele) and Katie Tafoya (Navarro); his children, Christopher "Eddie" Tafoya, Mikayla "Chia" Tafoya and Richard "Buddie" Tafoya Jr.; his siblings, Anthony "Chico" Martinez, Marie Garbiso (Lorenzo), Michelle Tafoya and Mackenzie Tafoya (Tristen); his girlfriend Jennie Trujillo; his stepchildren, Gilbert Garcia, Frankie Martinez, Angel Martinez, Sierra Trujillo, Alexis Trujillo and Calista Trujillo; and his grandchildren, Emilio Tafoya, Niyana Tafoya and CarlLee Tafoya.
