She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude Buster Barnes and Blanche Leona Barnes (Carroll); her grandson Shawn Gilbert; her brother Charles; and her sister-in-law Ann Gilbert.
She is survived by: her husband Ralph; and her children, Becky Gilbert of Trinidad, Cheryl Thompson (Gary) of Pueblo, Nancy Miller (Greg) of Haswell, Sarah Zink (Ron) of Las Animas, Melissa Gilbert of Las Animas, Paddy England (Brian) of Las Animas, Jacob Gilbert (Rosalie) of Las Animas and Emma Gilbert of Corpus Christi, Texas.. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
