With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Katherine Nolan of Lamar, Colorado, who passed away on March 22, 2025 at the age of 92. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Katherine Nolan to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesus Gonzales and Pilar Gonzales (Granados); her husband Herbert Nolan; her son Henry Nolan; and her siblings, Harriet Benavides, John Gonzales and Alfonza Gonzales.
She is survived by: her children, Roy Nolan (Chavela) of Lockney, TX, Rosie Hernandez (Pete) of Lamar, CO, Julie Contreras (Hector) of San Antonio, TX, Emily Nolan of Lamar, CO, Rita Perez (Raul) of Colorado Springs, CO, Kathy Melgosa (Tony) of Granada, CO, Julian Nolan of Lamar, CO, Abel Nolan of Lamar, CO and Corrina Nolan of Lamar, CO; and her siblings, Christine Villalva, Tomasita Trujillo, Ray Gonzales, Frances Gomez, Manuel Gonzales and Eugene Gonzales. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 25th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Peacock Family Chapel (209 S 4th St, Lamar, CO 81052). A rosary was held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Francis de Sales/Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church (600 E Parmenter St, Lamar, CO 81052). A Mass was held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lamar Area Hospice either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
