It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Josie Birt (Lamar, Colorado), born in La Junta, Colorado, who passed away on October 26, 2024, at the age of 2, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her grandfather Gary Wayne Reed; and her great-grandparent Dorothy Cowgill. She is survived by: her parents, Dakota Birt and Kanisha Birt (Reed) of Lamar, CO; her siblings, Cameron Birt and Danika Birt; her grandparents, Starla Reed of Springfield, CO, Ron and Wanda Trout of Lamar, CO; and her aunts and uncles, David Birt, Jessica Birt, Kassie Reed, Kelsey Reed and Darrell Lingle.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Peacock Funeral Home (209 S 4th St, Lamar, CO 81052).
Memorial contributions may be made to the Josie Birt Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home office.
