Cora Schwanz Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 27, 2024, at the age of 102, Cora Schwanz of Lamar, Colorado, born in West Newton, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Derr and Della Derr (Errett); her husband Otto Schwanz; her son Paul Schwanz; and her son-in-law Alan Carter.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Carter of Abilene, KS, Gary Schwanz of Cheyenne Wells, CO, Cheryl Schmitt (Gregg) of Albuquerque, NM and Caroyl Doyle (Patrick Kelley) of Madera, CA; her sister Betty Hawkins of Holly, CO; and her sister-in-law Helen Derr. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and a host of friends.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital and/or the Sangre de Cristo Hospice either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
