Carol McDowell Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Carol McDowell of Lamar, Colorado, born in Chandler, Oklahoma, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 24, 2024 at the age of 74. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert McDowell and Hattie McDowell (Greenfield); his wife Patty McDowell; his grandson Reece Harbour; and his brothers, Wayne Sprueill, Joe McDowell and Melvin McDowell.
He is survived by: his children, Junior McDowell of Eads, CO, April Harbour (David) of Lamar, CO, Tana Pearson (Dustin) of Lamar, CO and Melinda McDowell (Eddie Graff) of Lamar, CO; his grandchildren, Abbie (Cavin Weber), Trey (Hadlie), Cade, Madison, Ryan, Tines, River, Kevin, James, Hailey and Ali; his siblings, Raymond McDowell of Lamar, CO and Shirley McDowell of Las Vegas, NV; his daughter-in-law Wendy McDowell of Lamar, CO; and his sister-in-law Mary McDowell of Lamar, CO. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and a host of friends.
Viewing was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Peacock Funeral Home (209 S 4th St, Lamar, CO 81052). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
