With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Betty L. Hawkins (Lamar, Colorado), who passed away on April 5, 2025 at the age of 101. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Derr and Della Derr (Errett); her sister Cora Schwanz; her sons, Jim Hawkins and Chuck Hawkins; her son-in-law Steve Wertz; her grandson-in-law Todd Harvey; and her close friend Den Kusaka.
She is survived by: her children, Barbara Ann Wertz and Joseph Hawkins (Gail); her daughter-in-law Linda Hawkins; and her grandchildren, Charlotte Herrera (Bryan), Shelby Homm (Justin), Aaron Wertz (Darcie), Jeff Hawkins (Leslie), Lisa Harvey (Jon Littler), Chad Hawkins (Jennifer), Amy Allen, Justin Hawkins (Julie) and Brandi French (Mike).
A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Lamar Christian Church (811 S Main St, Lamar, CO 81052). A burial will be held on Friday, April 18th 2025 at the Fairmount Cemetery Memorial.
