We are sad to announce that on August 5, 2024, at the age of 85, Antonio George Benabides of Lamar, Colorado passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Esquipulã Benabides and Guadalupe Benabides (Orozoco); his wife Frances A. Benabides; his sons, Ralph Fernandez and Gilbert Banuelos; his granddaughter Sheila Castro Lucero; and his great grandchildren, Dylan and Cylas.
He is survived by: his children, Barbara Castro (Joe) of Lakewood, CO, Anthony Benabides (Carmen) of Pueblo, CO, Sylvia Benabides (Andrew Hernandez) of Pueblo, CO, Robert Benabides (Toni) of Aurora, CO, Liz Appel (Kevin) of Holly, CO, Delores Medina of Pueblo, CO and Frank Ortiz of Pueblo, CO. He is also survived by eighteen grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lamar Area Hospice either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
