He was predeceased by: his parents, George Weigel and Josephine Weigel (Geist). He is survived by: his wife Patty; and his children, LaVonne, Kay Nelson (Les) of Lakewood Colorado and Craig (Bobbie) of Golden Colorado. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren.
