He is survived by: his wife Sharon Kay Jackson; his children, Lori Nielson (Kevin), John Carroll (Sonja) and Brian Carroll (Mindy); his grandchildren, Kristie Holt (Tyler), Cody Nielson (Lauren), Heidi Wilkerson (Lucas), Jonni Bonnet (David), Emmy Burn (Connor), Meggan Bass, Zac Carroll, Joey Carroll, Allison Carroll, Abby Carroll, Jason Carroll and Zander Carroll; his great grandchildren, Lizzie, Anistyn, Dawson, Sage, Aspen, Brighton and Grayson; and his brother James Carroll (Linda).
