He was predeceased by: his parents, Amelia Mares and Ernest Mares Sr.. He is survived by: his siblings, Patricia, Frances, Dennis and Victor; his son Larry; his wife Rose; and his sons, Alan, Timothy, Andre and Sean. He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
