He was predeceased by: his father Dennis D. Cobb; and his siblings, Dennis Edward Cobb, Melissa Madrzykowski (Cobb) and Michelle Lawson (Cobb). He is survived by: his mother Loeta "Sue" Cobb (Wood); his wife Jennifer Cobb (Langland); his son Derrick Cobb; and his stepchildren, Miles, Rian, Molly Williams, R. J. and Josh Crespin.
