Born in Glendale, California in 1947, the daughter of the late William and Judith Anderson, Ms. Fountain became a nun in the Sisters of Charity of the Blessed Virgin Mary for a decade and started her career as a teacher with a degree from Immaculate Heart College in Los Angeles and a California Teaching Certificate.
