Carol Jean Riordan Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol Jean Riordan (Lafayette, Colorado), born in Washington, District of Columbia, who passed away on August 22, 2021, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She is survived by: her husband Gene; her sisters, Susie Riley (Bill) of Aptos, CA and Mary Ellen Wiss (Charles Powell) of San Francisco, CA; and also, Alanna Psomas (Tim) of Balboa Island, CA, Toni Strand (John) of Grand Junction, CO, Phil Riordan (Andi) of Thousand Oaks, CA and Missy Maschler (Tim) of Crawford, NE. She is also survived by four children, ten grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.

“Hello, I just saw the obituary for Carol in the Daily Camera and I assume her maiden name was Wiss. I was a classmate of Carol's at Cabrillo High School and graduated with her in 1967. We were in some classes together and I remember her as being very nice, friendly and smart. (I still remember her quoting T.S Eliot during her valedictorian speech at our graduation.) There seems to be a limit on how much I can write in this space, so I'll just send my condolences and best wishes. Tim Eaton”
