He was predeceased by: his parents, Velma Burkhalter (Strickland) and Eddie Bee Burkhalter; his wife Jean; and his brother Alvie Gene. He is survived by: his children, Beverly Amparan (Andy) of Lenexa, KS and Terry (Lori) of La Junta; his grandchildren, Rebekah Bloomer (Steven), Jennifer Simpson (Jason), Kaley Burkhalter (Michael Andrews), Tommy Amparan (Maricela) and Karisa Seamans (Jeff); his great grandchildren, Jaylen, Alexis, Ashlyn Simpson, Ryan, Ella Bloomer, Noah Seamans and Bryson Andrews; and his siblings, Shirley, Bo and Eddie Bob. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
