With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Ryuko H. Young of La Junta, Colorado, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Ryuko left this world on October 27, 2024 at the age of 96, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Ryuko leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her son John Metheny. She is survived by: her husband Russ Young; her daughter Judy Carroll (Dennis Carroll) of La Junta; and her grandchildren, Amy Rosenthal (Shawn Rosenthal) of Arvada, Heather Vigil (Stan Vigil) of La Junta, Jesse Metheny (Jennifer Metheny) and Jamie Metheny of Lampasas, Texas.. She is also survived by great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Peacock Memorial Chapel (109 E. 4th Street, La Junta, CO 81050). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
