With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Russel G. Adkins of La Junta, Colorado, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Though Russel may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Russel touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Adkins and Laura Adkins; his son Matthew Adkins; his brother Harvey "Sonny" Adkins; and his sister-in-law Diane Adkins.
He is survived by: his son Dustin Adkins; his siblings, James Adkins of La Junta, CO and Shirley Kincheloe (John) of Spring Town, TX.; his great-nephews, Clint, Chet Adkins and Jeffrey Martin; his great-niece Shaquanna Vigil; and also, Uriah and Azzy Vigil.
