He was predeceased by: his parents, Domingo Rangel and Sylvia Rangel; his siblings, George, Ben, Johnny Rangel and Delfa Marinelarena; and his nephews, George Rangel, Tino Ortega, Denny Rangel and Steven Ortega.
He is survived by: his wife Anita of La Junta; his children, Chad Rangel (Victoria Valdez) of La Junta, Lisa Medina (Rick) of La Junta, Gail Ingram (Gene) of Arizona, Lena Hill (Dave) of Arizona and Roberta Villasenor (Rudy) of Arizona; his siblings, Cruz Rangel, La Junta, Betty Grasmick (Karl) of Pueblo, Sally Rangel-Ortega of La Junta, Veronica Terrazas of Pueblo and Anthony Rangel (Dee) of La Junta; and his sister-in-law Pauline Rangel of La Junta. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
