He is survived by: his mother Gwen Herbst of La Junta; his wife Jeffri; his son Jake Pruyn of La Junta; his nieces and nephews, Cody, Chase, Taylour and Talon; his parents-in-law, Steve Elliott (Jana) and Dawnde Elliott; his aunt Kathi Vito (Rick) of Sequim, WA; and his uncles, Pat Pruyn (Linda) of Denver, Harry Herbst (Jane) of Denver and Andrew Herbst (Ben) of Canada. He is also survived by numerous cousins and friends.
