It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mauro Hernandez (La Junta, Colorado), who passed away on January 9, 2019, at the age of 58, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Miguel Hernandez and Julia Hernandez; and his brother Raul Hernandez. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Hernandez of Pueblo; his children, John Pettie of Pueblo, Bradley Pettie of Rocky Ford, Joseph Lorenzo of Pueblo and Jessica Hernandez of La Junta; his siblings, Maria D. Jurado of El Paso, Jose Domingo Hernandez of Juarez and Maria Trinidad Hernandez of Juarez; and his grandchildren, Alaina, Kyla, Vincent, Jaicianna, Demetrius, Demarius, Drasen Pettie, Jacob, Talina Lorenzo, George and Julianna Vasquez.
