It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maria Trujillo of La Junta, Colorado, born in Trinchera, Colorado, who passed away on January 14, 2021, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Casimedo Chavez and Alclarita Chavez; her son Michael Trujillo; her siblings, Rudy, Ralph, John Chavez and Angela Salazar; and her brother-in-law Adolpho Salazar.
She is survived by: her spouse Patrocino Trujillo; her daughters, Cathy, Lorraine Sanchez (Daniel), Catherine DeHerrera, Cecelia Trujillo and Connie Chavez (Ernie); and her brother Thomas Chavez (Linda). She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 15 great-great grandchildren.
