Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved John Elder (La Junta, Colorado), born in Las Animas, Colorado, who passed away at the age of 83, on December 29, 2019. He was predeceased by: his parents, John F. Elder and Dorothy Elder (Bruchmiller); his stepmother Ruby Elder; and his nephew Mark Elder. He is survived by: his wife Virginia Elder of La Junta, Colorado; his daughters, Jerri Carey (John) of California, Jeannette Lant (Ken) of Colorado and Johanna Niehage (Kent) of Kansas; and his siblings, Bill Elder (Jean) of Colorado and Iris House (Mike) of Idaho. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, one great grandchild, many other relatives and a host of friends.
