He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Barnett and Ann Barnett (Earl); and his sister Freda Patterson. He is survived by: his niece Carol Coates (Gerald Miller) of Rocky Ford; his great-nephews, Blayne Burns of Rocky Ford, Trevor Coates of San Antonio, TX and Kasey Coates of La Junta; his great-niece Ashlie Burns of Rocky Ford; and also Kova Trujillo of Rocky Ford.
