It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eva Hernandez (La Junta, Colorado), born in Fowler, Colorado, who passed away on December 22, 2019, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Sam Florez and Josephine Florez (Zalcedo); her husband Phillip G. Hernandez; her son Frank Hernandez; her siblings, Donald Florez, Helen Asebedo, Jennie Montoya and Bertha Gonzales; her son-in-law Ben Montoya; and her grandchildren, Christopher Martinez, Jeramiah Gutierrez, Anthony Hernandez and Erin Gonzales.
She is survived by: her children, Rose Alatorre of Pueblo, CO, Annie Casique of La Junta, Mary Chavez (Tony) of La Junta, Kristine Montoya (Tom) of La Junta, Jean Hernandez (Richard Marques) of La Junta, Joan Otero (Julian) of Pueblo, Vicky Martinez (Ernest) of La Junta, Eleanor Montoya (Tom Grosso) of Pueblo West, CO, Ruben Hernandez of Rocky Ford, Phillip Hernandez, Jr. of La Junta, Sam Hernandez (Corinna Pacheco) of Pueblo, Leonard Hernandez of Pueblo and Mark Hernandez (Barbara) of Pueblo; and her sister Mollie Encinias of Westminster, CO. She is also survived by 55 grandchildren, 137 great-grandchildren and 39 great, great-grandchildren; and one great, great, great-grandchild; also survived by nephews, nieces, brother-in-law, sister-in-laws.
