He was predeceased by: his parents, Cesario Apodaca and Benina Apodaca (Zamora); and his siblings, Louie Apodaca and Lorraine Black. He is survived by: his wife Luisa Apodaca; his children, Linda Perea (Randy) of Indio, CA, Ron Apodaca (Ramona) of La Junta, Monica Daniel (Jerry, Sr.) of Colorado Springs, CO, Nick Apodaca (Christy) of Colorado Springs and Kris Navarrete (Ray) of Ft. Morgan, CO; his grandchildren, Randy Perea, Jennifer Perea, Monique Apodaca, Jerry Daniel, Jr., Eric Daniel, Sr., Samuel Apodaca, Jessica Apodaca, Shanika Gonzalas, Shanice Chaparro, Raymond Navarrete, II and Christopher Navarrete; his great grandchildren, Brooklin, Kaden, Jyelle "Bubba", Jaelyn "The Boss", Kamrin, Harlow, Jordyn, Eric, Jr., Ahriya, Jerrick, Jagger, Isaiah, Zeke, Dandre, Issac "Firecracker", Arianna, Audrina "Uijeongbu", Brielle "Pusan" and Zoey; and his siblings, Lupe Apodaca, George Apodaca, Vina Hernandez and Robert Apodaca. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Peacock Memorial Chapel (109 E. 4th Street, La Junta, CO 81050). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 at 9:30 AM at the St. Patrick's Parish (518 W 3rd St, La Junta, CO 81050). A Mass was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
