He is survived by: his mother Alma Mary Gutierrez (Whatley); his spouse Malena Mondragon; his children, Alma, Carlos, Jr., Emilio, Santos, Cruz and Sofia Gutierrez; his father Arthur Gutierrez; and his siblings, Lorraine, Arthur, Jr., Robert (Jeanette) and Sonya Gutierrez. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
