Antonia Whatley Obituary

She was predeceased by: her parents, Jose Moreno and Antonia Moreno (Pedroza); her granddaughter Kaitlin Jimenez; and her siblings, Dennis, Victor, Richard, James Moreno and Dora Aceves.
She is survived by: her husband Jimmie Whatley; her children, Jami Chavez (David) of La Junta, CO, Bernadette Jimenez of Colorado Springs, CO, Eric Whatley (Shanele) of Mooresville, NC and Santino Whatley of Colorado Springs, CO; her grandchildren, Steven Westhoff (Tara), Rylan Hawthorne, Nikki Hawthorne, Kimberly Smithour (Andre), Davie Chavez, Brandon Jimenez (Kerrie), Dom "Bubba" Jimenez (Brittany), Brendan O'Toole, Lauren Welch (John) and Lexi Whatley; her great grandchildren, Landon, Paige, Kira, Callie Jo, Andre, Abel, Raymond, Lily, Reece, Marcie, Nora, Alahni, Riyah, Raelee and Magnolia; and her siblings, Frances Aragon of La Junta, CO, Rey Moreno of San Antonio, TX, Jay Moreno of La Junta, CO, Esther Gonzales of Palm Springs, CA, Jolene Hyatt of La Junta, CO and Thomas Moreno of Colorado Springs, CO. She is also survived by numerous nieces & nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Peacock-Larsen Funeral Home (401 Raton Ave, La Junta, CO 81050). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Patrick's Parish (518 W 3rd St, La Junta, CO 81050). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the La Junta Catholic Parish in Toni's honor.
